Turns out that, unlike me, Leanne still has her camera in Edinburgh so today we were able to take a break from revision and go take some photos. The intention was to go for a quick stroll but we ended up trekking several miles to a small nature reserve called Blackford Hill. The plan was to keep walking until we found lots of trees or something, but sometimes greenery isn’t the easiest thing to come across when you’re living in the city.
We got lost, climbed trees, were attacked my midges, slipped down a muddy bank and saved a toad. This day may have been a bit of a write-off in terms of revision, but it was definitely the most fun I’ve had in weeks (revision does not make for a whole lot of fun).
I realise there is not a single full-length shot of my outfit here. I’m not very good at remembering to take those!

It’s good that you took a break here and there! You can’t just pummel through (we all know that but we still do it hehehe). I can’t climb trees to save my life to hats off to you. On the other hand I can’t believe this is in Edinburgh because it feels like you’ve walked through to some far off magical wood.

I agree. It really lacks of nature when living in a city. I find myself longing for the countryside, laying in the meadows quite a lot. I really like the pictures you took in the woods. I can literally smell the wonderful air. x

It’s good to take a break from studying from time to time. Clears the head a bit and gives you fresh energy to study. Love the photograph of you in the tree and adore the coat, it looks so lovely.

the top picture reminds me so much of the scene in Bright Star where she is surrounded by bluebells. what your wearing looks lovely it has a hint of dries van noten combines with librarian conitations. I think its the crisp red shirt combined with the minty skirt + mink coloured coat which reminds me so much of dries van noten he uses them peculiar shades a lot, by the way this is one of my favourite designers. Make sure you take some time out for yourself whilst revising it can be hard work!
