Song: Stardust – The Caretaker

This post began with the idea of an elderly lady who wears fur coats and far too many rings on her fingers. A lady who sits at a bar or in a coffee shop all day, telling anybody who’ll listen stories about her grand past and all the things she’s seen and done. I’m sure I’ve seen a painting that depicts basically the same thing, but I can’t remember what it’s called/where or when I saw it. Does anybody know the one I’m talking about?

Coming your way soon: original content! Hopefully.

Ali Bosworth

Ali Bosworth found via Beehive

These photographs by Ali Bosworth are perfect. You can find them all on his Flickr, but beware: it’s over 500 pages long. Alternatively, you can find them in my Flickr favourites, which might save you some time (I’ve been digging for a good couple of hours). There’s something kind of mysterious about this girl, who appears in most of his photos. I think she photographs absolutely beautifully and I can’t say I wouldn’t like to raid her wardrobe either! Bonus points for all the cat photos in his photostream too.

Procrastination

I’ve been taking photos to avoid revision. At least it feels like I’m being productive. Pretty much everything above is thrifted with the exception of a few pieces that have come from various antique fairs/shops. The frame for Alison’s print is makeshift, I haven’t managed to find a good one yet. Apologies for my horrible, grubby wallpaper! I wish I could change it.

The rest of my weekend is set to be somewhat dull, although my best friend will be making a fleeting visit this evening before disappearing back to Germany until Christmas. Is anybody doing anything nice this evening, or tomorrow?

Yunus & Eliza

Absolutely adore these rings by Yunus & Eliza, who draw their inspiration from ‘theatre, fantasy and the inherent beauty of the inner beast’. If I had a few hundred pounds lying around, I know where I’d be spending it.

Winter Layers

Back at the hospital grounds again. Everything here is thrifted or vintage beside the suede shorts, which I picked up from Topshop at the start of term. I bought the coat at a car boot a couple of years ago.

Photos by Leanne and me.

Also, if anybody’s interested, I did a small interview for the Polyvore blog. Oh yes, still totally addicted.
